New Delhi , September 15 (ANI): Delhi's Tis Hazari Court granted seven days of police custody of Rishabh Baisoya to the Special Cell of Delhi police. He has been arrested in an international drug trafficking syndicate case.

Today, he came to India from the UAE after the revocation of the Look Out Circular (LOC) for the purpose of entering India. He was absconding for a long time. He is the son of alleged kingpin Virender Singh Baisoya.

Special Judge (NDPS) Kuldeep Narayan granted 7 days of police custody of Rishabh Baisoya to Delhi police. Delhi Police had sought 10 days of custody to interrogate him.

Delhi police arrested Rishabh Baisoya after he reached India from the UAE, and he was produced before the court.

Special Public Prosecutor (SPP) Akhand Pratap Singh appeared for Delhi police and sought 10 days' custody to interrogate him. It was submitted that he has been absconding since October 2024.

He is the son of Virender Singh Baisoya alias Veeru, who is an alleged kingpin and a key link in an international drug trafficking syndicate. Earlier, Virender Singh Baisoya was also deported from the UAE. First, he was arrested by the NCB. Thereafter, he was arrested by Delhi Police on September 1 and was interrogated for 10 days.

Special Public Prosecutor Akhand Pratap Singh had submitted that the roots of the case extend to the UK, Pakistan, UAE, Thailand and other countries, and that Virender Baisoya is the “common factor” connecting the various links in the alleged international network.

Rishabh Baisoya is the son of Virendra Singh Baisoya, also known as Veeru, the alleged mastermind behind an international narcotics ring and a resident of Pilanji village in Delhi.

Following a massive crackdown on October 1, 2024, in which the Delhi Police Special Cell intercepted illegal drugs valued at ₹13,000 crore, law enforcement officials identified the overseas-based Virendra Basoya as the primary supplier responsible for dispatching the consignment.

Investigating agencies believe the syndicate operates an extensive network spanning Delhi, Punjab, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Goa, funnelling thousands of crores of rupees through hawala channels and offshore bank accounts to launder the proceeds. (ANI)
